Welcome!
I'm Alejandro and I'm finishing my studies at Digital Arts and Entertainment. Over the past few years, I've been working with different programming languages, starting by the basics of machine code and progressing from Z80 Assembly to C++ and C#. I've gained experience in modern game engines like Unreal and Unity, as well as more memory-limited systems like the Sega Master System or Amstrad CPC.
Last year, I discovered Gameplay Programming, and since then, I've been focused on improving my skills in this field. I particularly enjoy working on elements like pathfinding, character movement, AI, and any other mechanic that is focused on how the player experiences and feels the game.
I'm currently looking for an end-of-study internship starting from February.

I’ve been studying programming for several years, I first started with web development to eventually move to C++. During my first years, I was lucky to have a great teacher who introduced me to assembly which I really liked it. This led me to work in two projects in assembly: one for the Amstrad CPC and another one for the Sega Master System.
After this, I wanted to continue learning about Game Development and improve my skills with modern programming languages. Thus, a couple years ago, I moved to Belgium to study at DAE where I had the chance to work on different projects in different languages like C# and C++, and with engines like Unreal, Unity.
Here, I discovered gameplay programming and enjoyed working on aspects like pathfinding and decision-making structures. I even took on a small research project to explore how RTS games group and move units together in a cohesive way. On the other hand, I also had the opportunity to collaborate on a team project to create a game, where I focused on player movement and core game mechanics.
